Josephine Arnold

   Cause of her death was carcinoma of pancreas.

  General Notes:

I never knew who my maternal grandfather was. Mum was born out of wedlock. Family rumour has it that her father was an army officer and that he did make a financial contribution to her upbringing. I think she was largely brought up at 98 Reginald Street, Luton by her mother, grandmother and Aunt Liz. Her mother [Ann Arnold] married in 1928, when Mum was 10 but I believe she was not taken under the wing of her step father [Richard Hingley] and she stayed on at 98 Reginald Street. She never talked aboutliving with Dick Hingley who she clearly did not like and he was never made welcome at 40a Richmond Hill, Luton.
